Drove out to the canal today for a little bit before work.  Landed quite a few bar fish and crappie. Everyone was catching them today.  We were catching them off the dam.  People on the rocks weren't having as much luck.  Talked to a few out there and they said they have been catching them pretty good everyday.  Hated that I had to leave and get ready for work.

Hit Cotile last Friday...was not a good day.  Big 0.  Most of the people out there weren't catching them...

I went a couple weeks ago, but no water running. Is it running now? I may have to go Saturday. Were any shiners being used or all jigs?
Aim low if they're crawlin'.

The water is ripping through there.  When it drops about 2 more feet, they will close the gates.  They have been out there all week dipping shad, I mean large amounts.  Yesterday it was all jigs, black and chartruese, not a lot on shiners.   I went out today again to try to duplicate yesterday, jig action wasn't what it was yesteday, caught a few crappie and the guy next to me caught some bar fish, but the majority were coming on shiners today.
