First you need an easy imaging program that you can work with your image with. You can try Photo Filter it is free to download and will help you to resize your images.

Remember that to upload a picture to the gallery or to attach an image to your post the image needs to be no larger than 400 x 400 in width and heigth. You can usually view the image information by holding your mouse over the file name and the diameters will show up.

For the forum the photo also needs to be less than 100kb. It says that the limit is 100 but I tried to upload one that was exact and it won't let me so I made it a little smaller and it worked right off. To make the file size smaller without making the picture diameters smaller you have to optimize the photo and there are several tools on the internet to do that for you as well, just google "picture optimazation" and that should get you something to work with. The easiest way for now is to make the photo smaller. If you have a high quality digital picture that you make smaller the standard size that I usually get is 400 x 300 and that is usually a great size to upload to the site.

Good Luck!
I love new pictures!!!

Here is what I came up with.

Step 1.  Open Photo Filtre
Note: for all references when I say click I mean Left click your mouse key

2.  Click the word "FILE" at the top of the program.  This opens a browser window.

2a.  Click the drop down button in the "LOOK IN:" box then select the location your file is. "Say Desk Top"

2b.  Click the file you want.  You photo is now open

3.  Click the word "IMAGE" at the top of the program.

3a.  Click the words "IMAGE SIZE" a new window will open displaying info on your photo

3b.  Click the box under the word "WIDTH"

3c.  Delete whatever numbers are in this box and type in the number 400
Note: if your file is taller than it is wide you will need to set the height to 400 so that no side of the photo is more than 400 pixles wide.

3d.  Click "OK"

4.  Click the word "FILE" at the top of the program.

4a.  Click the words "SAVE AS:"

4b.  Click the drop down box next to the words "SAVE IN" & select the location you want to save you file/photo to.

4c.  Click the file name block & type in the name of your photo

4d. Click the "SAVE" button

4e. A new window will open, just click the "OK" button

5. Close Photo Filter

YOUR FILE/PHOTO IS NOW READY TO LOAD INTO THE ULTIMATEBASS GALLERY
