Well... I think everyone made it back in one piece. Although some of us are still licking our wounds. :'(

Congrats to Rod and Jerry (Once again) for bringing home the "Offutt Honors".  :surrender:

The rest of us pretty much got our  ^-^ handed too us, but we all had a great time.

I should have known things were going the wrong direction when we crossed the Alabama State Line, and my partner said his left arm was numb and his chest was tight!!! After a 4 hour visit to a Montgomery ER it was determined he was suffering form McDonalditous (Otherwise known as Heart Burn). We were extremely relieved with this diagnosis. We can laugh about it now, but at the time it wasn't very funny. Good news for him was he got to spend some time with a Australlian Hottie Nurse. ~shhh Don't tell Kim! I just got to sit in the truck (in a not so nice part of Montgomery) and guard the boat. O0 A couple of Rolaids, and he was back in business!

Once at Eufaula, it was my turn for distress. I had a Carpoltunnel (sp) flare-up that pretty much rendered my right wrist useless. Not a good thing when your off on a fishing trip or away from Mama for 2 weeks.( :-[ It's just not the same left handed :-[) Lots of IcyHot and Beer seamed to help, but it was still difficult to fish. Not that it made much of a difference! :-\

We never did find any consistent pattern other than to use a dry bait. We caught a fish on just about everything we threw, but could only catch one. Oh well there is always next year.

On a side note...... My Skeeter did finally get passed :( It was on the way home on the interstate, and to add insult to injury, it was by a Triton pulled by a Chevy!!! :shocking: I guess he had more gas money than we did! I'm just glad I never came across that red Bullet on a calm day!!! I think I could have taken him in the chop!! lo

Thanks to Joe for sharin his boat with me for the week... We managed to catch a few fish and really was on the same pattern that 1st and 2nd place were on  lo just not on the same water :'(.. Although our talble at the start up dinner did manage to clean up on door prizes way to guys ~c~...We talk to the team that brought in 47 lbs  :shocking: They were throwing a june bug colored Frog and jiggin it on the grass and was killing them in the morning...They had a limit everyday before 8am.... :-\  ..I had to leave right away after the last day of fishing had to be at work the next day at 5am and had to work all day .... had to come home to rest :o ...all and all a good tourney although the thursday nite at cabanna 22 never happened mmmmmmmmm   >:D

Ready to head to Lake Fork for the Skeeter owners tourney...Got to get that partner of mine off his healing butt from shoulder surgery and take him fishing :roll2:
Hope I don't need the  ~rain gear there either.... we managed to stay dry for the Dod  ~c~ I learned alot about using a GPS on this trip....Thanks Joe... Got to make an investment ~shhh  hehe

Yep it was one heck of a great trip. All three tournament days we couldn`t get a bite after 9 in the morning. And every morning the pattern was different. The first morning we caught our fish on horny toads. The second morning we caught one on a scum frog and the rest on senkos. The last morning all our fish came on a spinnerbait. I think the pre fishing was the most fun though. we got into schools of hybrids and couldnt keep them off of our chrome rattle traps. It was a blast. But of course the best part of the trip was the company. It was awesome to have all the Offutt guys down there and in cabins next to each other. We definitely had some great nights of socializing............See ya all at the next intramural tourny...
