Is there not a resource for free GPS maps for use in our electronics? I can't justify the cost of the Navionics maps when all I have is a handheld Lowrance H2O. Plus I only fish on 2 lakes, Wilson and Pickwick. I don't want to pay for a whole region!

i have the handheld h20 as well and went to lowrance and downloaded several of my local lakes for free.

I do plan to buy the cards though as i used my buddies and it was great down at ky lake and barkley.

Here is the link for the enhanced downloads from lowrance problem you will see is that alabama only has 3 lakes listed.  Scroll down the chart and look how many i got for free in ohio.

As you go south they don't give away as many for free as there bigger lakes and you do not get everything on the enhanced maps that you get on the card.

Works Great ;D Thanks for the link, that site is so huge, would have taken me hours. Almost spent $100 for a card I didn't need.

I'm assuming your talking about the free maps from lowrance? Yes you can. They are free. For the card size a 512 MB is plenty and cheap.

I can't get the link to work anymore, and I can't find anything about these dowloadable maps on thier website.....I hope they didn't discontinue them!!!

Thanks!  These maps are great!  Not as good as the navionics, but better than not having the maps at all!
