OK guys around my neck of the woods this year it has been very dry, and that means the lakes get very low. So add that to the already hot weather and you need to hunt the lunkers deep. I have always found good fish on rock bluffs that have a steep drop. But the problem with this is that when you jerk your plastic too hard it often falls all the way off the bluff missing alot of fish. The solution is what I call "Solid Riggin a Senko". In order to keep your bait close to the rocks it needs to be heavy, but too heavy and it will not have enough action. The senko is perfect because it is heavy and has great twitch action because of it's "trickworm" build. Here is how I do it. I use #3 Matzuo bass hook (you can use any bass hook I just prefer the sickle hook) I then use a 1/4oz bullet sinker, but instead of leaving it free to slide like a Texas rig I put a swivel a 1/2" above the sinker, this lets it move and have action but keeps the sinker close to the worm and keeps it from falling off the bluff and dragging the worm with it. I use very small sharp bumps, 3 or 4 then let it rest and repeat, they dog gone smash this setup. This is just one of my setups that I use. See you at the BassMasters one day, lol.

you could also reposition your boat to paralale the bluff.

Pretty hard to do if the bluff drops straight off the bank to 50 FOW. Fished some of that over Memorial day in KY. There was no "paralale" to be done.
