Ducer mount help

I got my new Lowrance 522C and i need Ur help mounting it on the Triton, what will be the best place for it on the transom?, is it on the higher step or lower?, i want to  set it up and leave it, not drilling  more and more holes finding the best location, if you got any pictures that will be awesome....

If you mount it on the higher "step" i believe that it would be out of the water when on the pad running. Lower step should be in the water. The thing is you will have to worry about it possible breaking if your fishing in stumpy lakes, or gets caught on something, and it being tilted up or down from something underwater or from running down the lake, etc. and then if that happens, your unit wont be reading right. Did you think about getting a puck and mounting it inside in the bilge area with epoxy? I think that may be the best.
