You local craft store is just loaded with all sorts of stuff to keep the family busy while you are away.  That same store is also loaded with fishing supplies.  Find the gear to make your own culling tags - give them a personal home-made touch in colors of your choice.  Find the paint for some lure touch up.  Sissors, beads, clippers, etc etc.  The list goes on and on.

You will add some quality to family time and your fishing gear will be improved in the process!!

I love craft stores, being a fly & jig tier!  My wife caught on to why I go to them along time ago! 

Craft stores are full of all kinds of neat materials for making flies & jigs too. Plus, what you find in a craft store is often much less expensive than similar materials that you'll find in fly shops or even online in many cases.

Got this one from a friend.  Craft stores have corks!  Useful in the boat cooler to keep that freshly melted ice in the cooler instead of draining out.  Amazing how ice and water keeps drinks cool all day!  All for less than 2 bucks
