Talked to Mike Echols today about the RMTT...here's what I got..

The dates will be the 2nd Saturday each month starting in February..
He is holding off on choosing the Lakes due to the lake conditions and low water levels still in some like Toledo Bend and Caddo..Just doesn't want to set a lake then have to change and find a marina that can handle that many boats...not easy on short notice..

In addidion to the regular payouts...think it's 85%...first place out of the money gets a $450 trolling motor..and new this year...next 10 places gets a $100 gift card to the Reeves assocesory's shop...may be some additinal prizes on motors also...

There are also other incentives when fishing out of a Skeeter, using minkota trolling motors, and Hummingbirds..

The Boat Show tourny will be the 20th of January...one change this year is that registration will be a  Reeves the night before.

Here is a little update that Mike Echols put on the RMTT site.....

Get Ready for 07 (12/5/2006)

I have had a LOT of calls about the 07 schedule and I apologize for not having it ready. But its not because I was dragging my feet. I have been, and am still waiting on the water levels, to make a decision about the lakes. Toledo Bend jumped up then started back down so there is no way of predicting what it will do and Caddo is in bad shape also. I know you think, " Surely it will rain", but thats what I thought last year.

The dates are the most important part and they have been picked. We will fish the 2nd. Saturday of each month, Febuary thru July and the Championship will be the 2nd. weekend of Sept.

The problem with picking lakes, then changing them a month ahead of the tournament, is that all the facilities will be booked by then any moving to another lake is next to impossible. So bare with me a little longer and we will make some decisions.

Also ,the Reeves Boat Show Tournament will be Jan. 20. The biggest change will be that the registration and Rules meeting will be Friday night at Reeves Marine by the Century/Tel Center, not at the Boat show. The weigh-in will be at the Show and will be a 'Live Coverage Show' again and all issues have been worked out. All info should hit the paper in a week or two.

Thanks for working with me and feel free to call. ALSO....................... I would love to go to any Bass Club meetings or functions to talk about RMTT.  If you know of any groups that are interested, let me know. Thanks, Mike   465-6453
