Thanks John, I hope to find someone 2. I've been working my butt off over the last 5 to 6 years to be a more complete fisherman so that I have something to offer at tourney time. Over the last 2 years I've changed mindset from numbers to size. Would love a chance to test all the work I've put in during compitition.

The boundaries are as far north as you would like to run or the river allows but running much further than hartford (45-50miles) is not advisable due to shallow water and lack of a channel and as far south as the Atlantic ocean.

The ramp is at Haddam Meadows state park on the west side of the river.

Do you belong to a bass club? It's definitely a good Way to try your skills in some friendly compation.
Make some friends with the same interest as your self. (Bass Fishing)
And you get to know the tournament fisherman and maybe find a good partner to fish opens with.

i am aware of the shallow water north of hartford but thank you,are we allowed to put the boat in on the east side and just meet at the west side ramp?will save me alot of gas in the truck to not have to drive around the river.i put in at the ramp a little north of gillete castle

If you mean the salmon river ramp I don't think it will be a problem but I would give the tournament director a call or email him
the contact info is on my origanal post.
