When fishing the shore.  instead of reeling in your line..  just jig the worm like you want..  and move a couple of steps down (and repeat)..  I believe that it looks more real to the fish below.

Does anyone else do this..  It realy works..  I've even convinced a couple of fellow fishers to switch to this tactis.

Skinny I think you might have missed the point.  Don't cast between location changes.  Just pop or wiggle the rod a few times, leave it where it's at, move down the bank and do it again.    It's not a matter of covering more area quickly, it's a matter or covering one area thoroughly and from different angles.  Makes sense because most live bait wont' move in a straight line, but due to limitation of bank fishing, that's exactly how we tend to move our lures and plastics.

Thanks just what  I was looking for because I mostly bank fish and I have been just reeling it in with little to no success. Will this work good with a baby brush hog texas rigged?
