Heavy stain on fiberglass

I've got a fiberglass pool in the backyard.  Every day it gets a handful of dead pine needles and a couple of dead leaves blown in.  The tannic acid turns the edge of the pool tan.  The stuff you buy at the pool store costs $35 to get rid of the stain.  It is back in two weeks.  Turns out it is pure citric acid.  It is actually edible, but I wouldn't try it.

The lady at the pool store said "Hasn't anybody taught you the lemon trick?"

Turns out if you cut a lemon in half and rub the stain, it will start to lighten up.  Rub it and leave it for a while.  Then chuck the lemon in the pool and if you do it once a day, the stain will be mostly gone in about a week. Smells good too.

Next time you have a bunch of lake heavy stain or grime on your fiberglass hull, rub it with a lemon. Just rub it and let it set for an hour or so.
