If I fish in a place were there are alot of stumps like Lake Fuqua,Oklahoma during a real hard wind useing a hank parker spinner bait I will hope for the best not to get hung up!!! :roll2:

In winter months after a rainy period I like to throw shallow cranks such as the Bandit Footloose into the ice free spots between frozen areas.  The smallies are looking for critters skittering across the ice and sometimes you can get an explosive reaction on these shallow runners.

On clear water lakes such as lake ouachita in the spring while the spawn is on, I almost always use a white lizard to catch bedding fish. Don't try to make the fish bite, instead make them mad then try and keep the lizard away they will chase after it. Oh yeah one thing i forgot to mention, I fish it without a hook, just getting them to hit is reward enough, let them spawn.

burn a buzzbait white along the edge of a pad field

The weather condition that provoked my choice is hot Summer days

why it works, the fast retrieve makes a fish react from an ambush point & smash your lure

I use this method on Cross Lake LA

During the winter months when the water gets cold I like to throw a deep diving plug in shallow water.  There will always be some fish in shallow water and the deep diver wont get hung as much b/c if its big bill.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and you'll never see him again!
