Freshwater
Fishing report for week of 4/25 RI's fresh waters
Tuckers Pond seems to be the place to be to grab some trout, Tom reported 5 fish, a 17" brown, some rainbows and brookies. Chris Choquette had some fun up at Alton pond on a copper phoebe added 5 fish of his own to the mix. The Master Bob Nelle Jr. said it has been tough to find the pockets on the Wood with so much water in it but that he has been pulling out his 1-1.5lb rainbows on a regular basis from his favorite spots. Bob Jr. also reports the Suagatucket river to be Smoking, with trout action at a all time high. So I grabbed a kayak and  pushed in last Friday fish for a hour and half targeting bass of course and didn't get a bite? but Prostaffer Bob B. has some luck last week landing  4 fish, a 4.8lb large mouth on a pig n jig just above the falls. He also confirmed that at Tuckers trout were hopping into his boat and at Watchaug pond the Bass loved that same pig n jig landing a 3.7 & 1.7 there also.
