Iam new to this forum and to Oklahahoma city, just transfered to the tinker airforce base. This weekend was my first time fishing thunderbird lake and i really like the lake. I slayed the crappie but couldnt catch a bass or saugeye to save my life!!!!  I throw every thing for every tactic i could think and nothing:[ can anyone give me some inside info or bass and saugeye in t-bird?  I do have a bassboat and would even like a fishing buddy.

Thanks

Barney Leonard

For saugeye try using green jigs over by the roadbeds.I haven't had a lot of luck with the bass yet but you might try the Clear Creek Arm or Little Axe area.

For the saugeye use a black chartruse curly tail grub with a 1/4 oz pink jig head.  Go to bass pro talk to "Sunny" on tactics.  I have not spent a lot of time on the lake trying to catch bass.  For me its tough in dirty water. There is a tourney on the lake in the evenings not sure what day.  Try going to the Bass Zone web site for some local info.  The guys on the bass zone forum can be some smart  :ass at times, but there are some great guys there as well.  I live in oklahoma city.  If you want to get on some good fishing go to Konawa, or Bell Cow.
