For those of you who like to use painted worm weights here is how I do it.
First get a card board box and cut the top flaps off to expose the corrugation. Then place tooth picks in between to hold them tight. Place your weights on the toothpicks and get out your favorite colors and spray away. No mess, no sticking and you can spray all sides, top and bottom all at the same time. If you like glitter or colored flake, you can sprinkle this on when the paint is still wet. Use a pepper shaker to apply and put a sheet of poster board or even newspaper under your box to catch the excess glitter. Afterwards, you can either fish them the way they are or clear coat them with clear nail polish (OK), clear jighead paint (better) or 2-part epoxy (best).....

How about powder paint, can you use this on tungsten weights or is it impossible to heat tungsten enough to apply the paint?  Anyone?

Good tip Karl!

For powder paint you can take a thin piece of wire and thread the weight onto it and peg it with another peice of wire. Everything you use has to be able to take the heat. Some tungsten weights have plastic inserts so I would not try this on them.

Thats why I asked GTF.  I guess Tru-Tungsten does not use an insert, but BPS does.  Only problem....BPS only has unpainted weights from my recollection.  I was hoping to find some green pumpkin/watermelon, black, and brown powder paint and have had it this winter.

You can drill out the plastic inserts in the Tru-Tungsten.  This also enables you to use the rubber pegs from BPS.

My Husband and i also paint our own weights and we take a piece of styrofoam and cover it with plastic and tape it on the back or use aluminum foil you can get cheap stuff at the dollar store and then we put tooth picks in the styrofoam and then set the weights on the toothpics and leave enough room to be able to get all the way around the weight and you may even be able to do two rows, then for flake color i use another color of spray paint but just give it a light touch  takes some practice but the outcome is great i have done blue fleck and also watermelon seed and a few others i get my paint in spray cans at the liquidation stores or dollar stores or flea markets and keep it all together in a copy paper box and label it fishing weight paints
