Powder Paint Tip

For those of you who powder coat there jig heads here is a tip that has worked real well for me:

When you want a metal flake coating; buy the regular basic color paint and add your own flakes. I was using the premixed flake powder, but am now mixing my own. You get a much better flake by buying glitter at a craft store (about $1 spent per pound of powder paint) You also now get true custom colors.

The best benefit is that this enables you to buy a few basic colors in bulk, thus cheaper, and then make smaller batches of the flakes as you see fit.
