We have a lot of new guys who are not familiar with all the local waters us old F_ _ Ts have fished over the years.  Might be benifical if we added a link to our new web side that attempts to list all the waters we've fished, where they are located, how they've fished in the past, when they fished the best, i.e.  Dear Point sucks during summer because of all the grass; etc...    This will help them get involved when we vote on where to fish and give them the opportunity to pre-fish some of these waters well in advance of tournaments since a lot do fish other weekends or during all the military time-off they get. :roll2:

I agree....

Ocheessee sucks year round.

Deer Point is good in the Spring

Dead Lakes is a good spot with access to the river as well

Escambia is hot and cold.  From what I hear from the P'Cola boys, it has sucked here lately

Appilachicola River is always a challenge...can catch some good fish.  A good trolling motor is a must

Upper Choctawhatchee and the lower end are two different worlds.

Scott

What about Talquin, Seminole, Blackwater River, Yellow River, do we fish any of these?

BMiles

I think Deer Point may be a good place to fish right now.  Grass should be down a bit and from reading some of the fishing reports the locals are catching some big fish there.  For those of you not familiar, Deer point is located near Panama City.  We take hwy 20 past Ebro a few miles (don't remember exactly how far).  Launch on a nice creek leading into the lake (Kendall's favorite place to fish).  The lake is actually quite big with a big dam.  I believe it as listed as the primary water source for Panama City.  There are lots of docks on the main lake if you can get past the grass.  In some places the grass get's so thick you can almost get out and walk on it.  There are also some good Cypris Stump fields and islands, lots of grass and pads...   The creek winds through cypris fields and has some good deep holes.  Someone else chime in.

O.K.  We can use to post as a starter to pass on information about as many waters as we know.  As far as where we fish or have fished, that has varied from year to year.  I'm sure we can get inputs from everyone on there opinions of all the different waters, just don't expect them to share all their secrets at least till after the first tournament on the lake. :roll2:

Scott,

We have only fished Blackwater once...it was a nightmare with all the skiers and jet skis.  Winter might be different.

Yellow river can be good at times.  That might be a consideration for this weekend.

I heard Browns fish camp got destroyed during Ivan and isn't open.  Can anyone confirm that?

What's wrong with going to Opp this weekend? Why are we changing it?

BMiles

We haven't changed anything, just talking about the different lakes/fishing holes.

RoyB

From the sounds of last Thursday, I am suprised you would want to go back lo

BMiles

Thanks to Greg, we at least got to see what a fish looks like..

Scott

Roy, you seen the point standings lately? Who gave you permission to give crap?  :roll2: :roll2: :roll2: :roll2:
And yes, thanks greg for letting us see a bass. We all appreciated it.

RoyB

I forgot, you have one more fish than me for last year lo

I've been saving my fish for 2005. ;D

Scott, you might as well do this  ----->  :surrender:    :roll2:

Scott

I gave you the perfect chance to catch a fish. I showed you where he was and even let you throw at him.

RoyB

Man, I put you on fish...you catch one and screw up the second chance.  I then show you again where he is...didn't even put a hook in his mouth.  I guess next time I will have to lip it for you too

Scott

could you do that for me? That would be great.  ~c~ ~c~

SteveK

did someone say deerpoint on sunday?  sounds good. ~sun

RoyB

I'll go with the flow...but hate DeerPoint in the winter.  The water is so clear...how clear is it....you can read the date on a dime in 10 feet of water.  Most of the grass will be dead which pushes the fish deep

SteveK

kendall,  said if its cold, raining, windy, and down right miserable weather he would like to fish seminole.  Besides he wants to buy a new hat. lo ;D
