Here is an oldie but a goodie trick that I learned awhile back ....

The Night before you head out to your favorite fishing hole and you plan on using Nightcrawlers the next day , put some of your scented Plastics in the Worm Container with them .   The Worms will crawl around and pick up some of the scent off the Plastics .  Which will give them a scent trail when you use them the next morning .

Give it a try sometime .... it works !!

I usually get a pack of those fiber cushion buttons in the household section of the store and use those on the hook in front of the bait. I soak them in the scent and it leaves a great scent trail and does not interfere with the bite at all. You can use a bigger button and hook it in the center and run it to the eye of the hook, Glue it in place and then put the crawler on. When you retrieve it the buttons resistance to the water flow will cause it to swim erratically, usually this works great for attracting bass or big bluegills.
