how many use beads when fishing? dont buy them in the fishing department. go to the crafts section and buy them. if you buy them in the fishing dept. they will cost about a $1.00 for 10. buy them in the crafts dept. and you can get 100 for $1.00. doug

Only time i use them is on carolina rigs. I prefer glass beads cause they do make more noise than plastic.

I "stole" some of my wife's beads. I know have every flavor and size imaginable. Great idea.

you can get the same size and shape as normal plus find a lot more. after my wife got me in the door of the craft store she couldnt get me out. there is a lot of stuff in there to use while fishing or hunting if you just look around. doug

I just bought 50 red glass beads for 2.00 at a local craft store.  Plastic beads are cheaper and more per bag, but glass beads are louder.

Some of the cheaper plastic beads won't hold up to the heavy weights on Carolina rigs.

I've had glass beads crush in a C-rig, too. I think that mostly happens when the cast rig lands on the water and sometimes when setting the hook without a fish on the hook  ::).

I got a big assortment of glass, metal and plastic beads of several sizes, round brass bells (1/4"), spindle wheels, rolling eyes, colored pipe cleaners, holographic tape, glitter, all sorts of neat stuff at a local craft store CHEAP. I figure the bait shop owner gets a lot of their stuff there, then divides it up in little baggies for a 500%-1000% markup. Some of the bead brands are holographic, some with liquid inside and floating ball and glitter (like a fish eye), natural stone colors, fluorescent colors, glow in the dark, diamond-like with tremendous flash, and whatever else an imagination can describe.
