Now I know that not everyone replaces there own boat carpet, but it saved me over $1000 to do it myself. The secret tip is to use a small bead of Liquid Nails around the edges of the carpet and hold those edges with clamps for five minutes. If you just use the marine carpet glue, it doesn't hold fast enough. After the liquid nails dries just use a razor blade to trim the excess glue. I did my own and have gotten some nice comments about it.

Good tip Russ, wish I would have done that when I installed my carpet... :bang

That spray on contact glue is what you're supposed to use and it's instant.  The only downfall is IT'S INSTANT so you better line it up right the first time... ~sweat

A person gets about 3-5 mins of adjust time with the L-nails. Holds great and is water proof. Everyone knows the xtremes the carpet in your boat sees, and this method has held up wonderfully. This was the 3rd boat I used it in and all three turned out looking great. :)
