Launched around 8:30 and on the trailer at 2 and had a very good day for a change just no bigs. Caught 8 on spinners and 25-30 on a Zoom Speed craw. Fish were mostly on deeper edges of in the back of bayous that had 6-8' of water but some were in less than 2'. Probably had close to 20 that were legal but biggest was around 2 pounds, not a bad day for 5 hours of fishing and maybe 3 gallons of gas. The day started cloudy with some misting rain and NNE winds 15+ which had the tide very low again, air temps 52 early 70 once the sun came out at noon, water temps 59-62 and stained. Probably the most fish I've ever caught in the bayou that I fished most today and its one I can somewhat fish with the wind blowing like it was. Last day this week but will be on the Alabama river near Selma 3 days next week and hoping for a big Spot.
Retired and loving every minute of it!
