Greetings to everyone,

Our local forecast across Central Texas today is 53-84dgrs with 79% humidity and a SE wind @ 15mphs.  We have mostly sunny skies across the area now.  We're enjoying this warm weather while its here.  Next week the cold temps will be returning.  There rain in the forecast also  ~rain  :surrender:

This week has been kinda busy here on the home front.  I spent Thursday and Friday Dusting everything and Cleaning all the floors > Honey Do Items  ~sweat   I've started pulling the carpet out of the G3.  I'm going to redo prior to Spring getting here.

Today we're going to the movies and spent the rest of the day just relaxing.

There's nothing else happening around here.  I hope everyone is doing well and taking it easy for a change.  Be safe in your travels and remember to be mindful of your surroundings.

We have had a few 80 degree days this past week.  Temps mostly in the lower 70s the other days.  Forecasters have us returning to more normal temps later this week.  Normal for us is in the 60s for high and lows to the upper 40s or low 50s.  The first pollen of the season has started to show up on my truck.  It will be a lot worse in the weeks ahead.  This is about the time of year that the move towards spring tends to show up.  Kind of like a fake spring then a return to cooler weather before spring really begins in late Feb to early March.

Mrs. has some medical appointments over the next few weeks as they do some testing to determine just what might be the cause of her problems.  We are hoping for the best.

Greetings to everyone,

It's freaking cold here this morning across Central Texas  :blue   The cold front has arrived and it sux  >:(   Our forecast for today is calling for temps to be 28-39dgrs with a N wind @ 15mphs with  69% humidity. The cold front is going to be here for awhile.  They're forecasting some lows to be in the mid teen next week  ~xyz

There's nothing happening here today.  All of the Honey Do's have been completed. Guess I'll hang out on the computer and watch some tv.

Bud; Tks for stopping by.  I hope your wife gets to feeling better and the test results come back in good favor for her.

To everyone y'all have a really pleasant day today.  Be mindful of your surroundings while your out and about.

Nasty weather here, that seems to sum up the past and present forecast. We just got out of the polar vortex, had one nice day, a cold weekend, then Monday evening into Tuesday morning turned to crap. 5" of snow changed over to sleet and ice, then freezing rain for Wednesday morning followed by rain Wednesday afternoon. First day back to work since Monday and it looks like Virginia got hammered by ice worse then we did. I'm so ready for Spring.

coldfront

cooling down here for next 10-14 days.  a few will bottom out under freezing (overnight lows).  lots of 40's and 50's...

but the spring peepers are going in the ditches, the forsythia is starting to bloom.  jonquils/daffodils are budded and 'ready'.

will be out 'seriously' in the next few weeks...  it's about to start.

although, NOW, with all the shad die-off, is probably the very best time to find a double-digit...

I'm looking at 12 to 18 inches of ice on the lakes around here.  They are driving trucks around on Lake St. Clair.

Weather fixin to turn bad for another dose of winter.  Cold rain tomorrow with a potential for freezing rain on Wednesday night here on the coast.  Inland for sure will get freezing rain and up around the NC boarder may be snow.  Lows over this coming weekend are forecasted into the lower 20s.  Winds remain fairly lite but from the NE making things feel even colder than the thermometer indicates.

Bowling tomorrow but should be back home before it gets ugly.  For the most part I have no reason to be out and about during the bad weather.  Just gonna hunker down and stay worm here at the house.  I don't have any other place I have to be until Next Monday for a routine Dr. visit.  So far this has been one of the ugliest winters we have seen in many many years.  I don't know how you up north folks can stand the cold.  I guess it is all about you are used to.

Howdy,

It's cold, wet and nasty here across Texas  :surrender:   It was 2dgrs with snow flurries  here this morning when I got up :surrender:   Our forecast for today is 2dgrs / 26dgrs with 55% humidity with a N wind @ 21mphs.  We got some rain forecasted in the 10 forecast.  Sunday 23rd > Friday 28th we're forecasted to have high 30s' for the over night lows / mid 60's for the daily highs.

Not real busy here lately.  I had a Medical Lab appointment yesterday at the VA Hospital> My monthly Warfin Meds check up.  While driving there the fricking Engine Check Light came on the Silverado  ~rant   I made a pit stop at O'Riley's Parts store and had them check the issue out.  The Code came back with Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control Valve is bad.  I can't catch a break with these vehicles here lately.  I'm going to make an appointment to have it checked out.  Here's another Thousand (+) dollars getting spent on another vehicle.

I stopped in a the Dodge Dealer yesterday also.  I was told the Tech is getting real close to having the repairs made.  He was finishing up on the wiring harness and was going to take it on a test drive here today or tomorrow.  I'm not holding my breath that it will be ready.

Bud, Big Bass201,Cold Front, Jim: Thanks for stopping by and sharing the day with us.  I'm just like yawl, I'm ready for this cold weather to be over and done with.  I hope everyone has their aches and pains under control. Hopefully here soon we'll be able to hit the water again.

To everyone yawl stay warm and safe travels if you have to be out and about.  Don't forget to be mindful of your surroundings also.

Nasty cold here too, Don. 18° right now. We've had 10 of what they're calling Polar Vortex this Winter. Another Winter storm passed through today, luckily we only got about 2.5", my buddy Mike, on the Eastern shore was supposed to get 12"-18", but I think they only got about 8".

I had that Evap Control Valve issue with my RAM. It's a vacuum controlled valve, I ended up replacing it myself, it connects between the top of the fuel filler line and feeds gas fumes back to the intake. I learned that topping off the tank at the pump often causes fuel to splash up into the line going to the valve. The fuel causes the valve to stick. I've stopped squeezing the extra little bit into the tank and haven't have anymore trouble. Another thing that can cause it to throw that error code is a loose gas cap.
