I was about to toss a poop bait into the trash.  I felt the heft of the heavily salted bait and I got an idea.

People around here are using 7" Senko worms.  But here's mine

I'll try the at Clearlake tomorrow.

The OG dice is big money.  $5 each.  Too rich for me.  I think on a drop shot.

Haha. I'm old too.

It's the hottest soft plastic coming off Lake Biwa.  They been killing them on the California Delta.

The original is the OSP Fuzzy Dice.

So that's a drop shot bait? Can you rig one to see how it looks?

loomisguy

I bet it will work. I haven't tried the dice rubber yet, but I'm going to.

i'l have it on a hook now.  no bites, but i only gave it a few minutes.  the weather was just too brutal.

i think it will work better on the Califoria Delta, than clearlake.

From what I hear, those lakes in Japan are highly pressured. I guess they gotta invent crazy stuff just to get bit. Geecrack Cuebomb is a similar bait from over there.

It's the latest craze. I think Taku Ito won an Elite series tournament on a fuzzy dice and other Japanese pros brought the technique over from Japan. A lot of companies showed off their own version of the fuzzy dice at ICAST.

It would be so easy to make yourself. All you need is silicone skirt material and part of a Senko like the example posted. The shape doesn't have to be a cube and a rounded top would go through weed better or a round bottom would fall faster. My guess without trying it.

To pull the strand through, all you need is a small wire looped at one end where the skirt strand goes through. Pull the wire/skirt strand all the way through and repeat for other skirt strands.  Done!

A wide-gap hook goes through the center - line tie up. I will have to make one.

Big sewing needle. Like a tapestry needle. You want to damage the bait as little as possible.  You do realize that's the entire point of my thread right?  I did DIY it.

Oh I kept getting slammed by micro bass on the Delta.  No bigs swallowed my fuzzy globs.
