supposed to cool down tonight and sho nuff stay in the 50's at night and maaayyyybe touch high 40's at night.  already booked some appointments on my calendar

Here too, may try Smith Mountain next week. The closer lakes are all like septic tanks.

you should be able to get some topwater action at that lake from some spots and largies I would think!!   What about Holston?
