Hurricane Beryl Check-Ins

Just received reply from Mike Cork, they've had 56 tornado warnings with 13 confirmed. So far so good.

Quite the ride... With the hurricane passing just to the west of us, we had all the band lines training over the top of us. It was moving quickly and was only causing trouble for our region from noon to 6 pm. 56 tornado warnings with radar indicated rotations, and 13 confirmed tornadoes. One went to our East by a mile and destroyed a home and damaged many others. One went to our West by about 3 miles and destroyed couple homes and killed one person when a tree fell on the house. Please keep all those affected in your prayers.

Our rain totals were only in the 3-5 inch range thanks to the speed. Still windy and cloudy but we are in the all clear at this point. Time to help our neighbors that need power.

Anyone heard from Pherox (Jim Dollens) down in Houston yet?

Mike tks for the update.  Glad to hear there wasn't any serious damage done to your place.  All that weather y'all got just miss us.  That whole weather front stayed to the East side of Interstate 35 and move into East Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Northward.

 We did get some heavy rain for a few minutes and it moved on.

For those affected by the storm, you are in my prayers. Having been through to many hurricanes, you will get through it but it ain't any fun. Just take it one day at a time and stay cool as best you can.

All the data is officially in, the weather service says there were 29 tornados from F1 to F3... Crazy... Set a record for the most warnings in a region for one storm at 63...

Amazing we only had one fatality. Several hurt but all non life threatening.

Wow, can't believe that I just saw this.

We're here AOK, we are close enough to the Bay and then Gulf, yet high enough that the water and flooding didn't effect us.

Now we were out of power for a few days, but it didn't bother me much, I can handle the heat better than cold so all is well.  Jan on the other hand, she suffered big time.

I'm still recuperating from the hospital visit thing, so it was just rest and sleep most of the time.  We had to toss everything out of the fridge and freezer but it wasn't too full.

Jesus has watched over us with all the Hurricanes and other weather things we have had so I am Humbly grateful.
