It worked out awesome.  Spent $0.00 (not including buying the battery)since I  rummaged up all the stuff. No. I had to buy foam pipe insulation to stuff into box to mitigate battery movement.  $3, since most manufacturers quit using hard foam packaging protection.

Salvaged a plastic box, reused a Hobie thru hull fitting, cut the clamp off a torn dog leash.  And the battery had all the wires. The clamp hooks to a stainless keychain ring I zip tied to the interior of my kayak to keep it from slipping around.  My charger has the same fitting, so it is plug and forget. 

I love to tinker.

that Amped battery is legit.  8 hours today, and the battery dipped down to 13v.  I bet it can do two days running my FF.
