Had a great turnout again this year for the Annual Reelin' For Kids tournament. No one got the $5k for a ten pounder but lots of money, prizes, and everyone got a free lunch and Dobyns Rod for fishing.

Fishing was pretty good with many anglers bringing in a limit of bass over the 14 - 18 inch slot. My partner and I had 20.46 and came in 5th out of nearly 70 teams. Two 23 pound stringers, a 21 pound and another 20 pound stringer bigger than ours. Lots of stringers in the teens. Three of our weigh fish came on a frogs and the others on chatter baits. Always fun to catch 4-5 pounds on frogs. Can't tell you how many 17 inchers I caught... I caught enough fish to have a bloody bass thumb, been a while for that...

Lots of stories of the big one that got away. Seems like moving baits were the popular choice but I did hear a few stories about a 12 inch worm bite finally starting up.

Biggest news is that we raised a ton of money for the local Foster Kids. Thank you everyone who came out and supported this event again this year.
