What's Poppin?

Over the years, I've caught a ton of fish on a popper. Lately I've kinda forgotten about fishing poppers and instead used other styles of topwater baits. I decided to put poppers back in the rotation and I'm glad that I did! I've been having a blast and catching a bunch of fish.

That got me thinking, what are some of your favorite poppers? Brand and model? I'm loving the Booyah Boss Pop in both the small and regular size. It has a great rattle, action, splash and walk. The colors hold up good too. Another one of my favorites is an Xcailiber Poppin Image. They are discounted but the larger size is now being made under the Heddon brand. It has a great splash, walk, and sound.

I love popper fishing! Some of the best blowups!! Booyah poppers are really good, I throw them often. I also like the Rebel popper as well.

its my most successful topwater presentation.

I like the small megabass one.  the pop x, I think,  with the right rod, which for me is a Powell Naked, in med..I can walk the tiny thing.  it walks!!

I love popper fishing.  I have two favorites.  #1 would be by Yellow Magic.  and #2 would be by Evergreen.

Each uses feathers on the rear trebles and both seem to have a little bit different "spit" than others I have used.  Another feature is that both have mega sharp hooks.  The Yellow Magic is a bit more decorative with their paint schemes although I usually use a bone color.  I also like the evergreen shower blow for a walking or popping bait.  The unique concave of the front of the lure is also a bit different and seems to make a difference.   Can't go wrong with either although they are a bit costly.
