Temp: 80°
Weather: Mix of clouds & sun.
Water: Slight chop
Visability: 4'

Decided to bank hop Lake Osbourne around 2:30pm. Ended up on the East end of the 2nd Lake. Saw scattered lily pads w/various openings. Decided to wade out to knee deep and started casting to the drop off/ledge (these chain lakes like Ida/Eden/Osbourne (4 lakes)/Clarke/Airport, were dredged back in the early 80's to get sand to build I-95). Was using a 7.5" Culprit worm in Junebug w/ 1/8oz bullet and 4/0 wide gap Gamagatsku hook. Apparently, I had found the beds for pre-spawn because it became a hit every 4-5casts. A lot of dinks and a few decent ones as well. Had a little 4 1/2' gator start following me around too. (No, they never bother me. Respect them, and they leave you alone.) Decided to call it about 4:30 when a clown knife fish broke my 20# Powerpro and stole one of my new lures (Headbangers). First time PowerPro has ever broke on me in almost 15yrs. Took a few pics of the better bass and water clarity (I never wear shoes while fishing...)

Appreciate the report. Bummer losing the clown fish.

Very interesting, congrats  ~c~  and if there is a 4.5 gator I'm sure there is a mamacita somewhere in that Osbourne Chain.  Great job! :-*

I'm not even scared of them. They never bother anyone on this lake. Soo used to seeing all the skiiers, that they just say "meh".
