Haven't posted over here for a spell. I have been working on two things behind the scenes for quite a while. 1. In-line hooks. Really like them, btw! 2. Stronger leaders. I posted  about that in detail on the bank fishing forum earlier today. ;)

Well, the combo hit out of the park today!!

Within minutes of arriving, I caught a decent peacock. I quickly figured out the peas were holding along the vegetation canopies.

They were destroying the boyo. I had to reluctantly come home and left them biting.

Thanks for reading!

Some beautiful fish. What's with the hump on the head? Some have it some don't?

Always fun when they are drawing blood at the base of your thumb!!!!

The hump is males during the spawn.

That's unusual. I've see fish change colors but never shape LOL

Nice! Those peacocks are pretty fish. How do they fight compared to largemouth?

Pound for pound they fight harder.

I really want to make a trip to Florida sometime and go catch some. They look like fun.

A fun time for sure.  Nice job Lou.  Peacock are the Pitbulls of the freshwater world, and no fish more beautiful.  Congrats my friend. ~c~
