Just got back from a Jacksonville tarpon fishing trip with Blue Cyclone Fishing. Capt. Chris always comes through with a great trip. We started off on the downtown area and I hooked up with a nice 50 pounder. I fought it for about 5 minutes and it made a harsh run and jump and broke me off.

There was a ton of shrimp in the river so we decided to target trout. We found a ton schooled up next to and under a giant cargo ship. Every cast with a Yum Pulse swimbait on a jighead got hammered by the trout.

We finished the day back searching for tarpon and my brother in law jumped a 100 pounder then quickly lost it. No tarpon landed but we had a great day.

If you are interested in an inshore fishing trip in the Jacksonville area, look up Blue Cyclone. I highly recommend him.

I'd love to hook up with a tarpon or three. Seems like it takes several hook ups to actually finally touch one. The battle, it's about the battle...

Specs are fun, especially when you are hooking up like that...

Thanks for sharing the trip
