Arrived at the ramp at zero dark thirty. Prepped quickly, and off I went. My game plan today was simple. Stay on one system and figure them out. Right off the bat I started catching fish with the Super Spook Boyo. Nothing big just a smaller bass and smaller peas.

Quickly switched it up to a popper, took one long cast, barely moved the popper, and nice bass catapulted out of the water inhaling my lure!! I made a sweeping hookset, and the fight was on!! Short while later I netted this beauty!!

Later on I switched to a swimbait, and managed to catch a few bass in the vegetation. Even managed to coax a bass on the frog!!  lo ;)

As the morning progressed the bite slowed down considerably.  I also began to notice very nice bass were in the area, and it was not just one. Through out the rest of the outing, I worked my  ^-^ off trying to hook into one of those bigger bass, but to no avail.  :'( :'( They just weren't having it.

Early in the afternoon, I threw the Boyo again, and on the first cast, another nice bass crushed my lure!! Not one of the giants but a nice one.

Caught a few more bass here and there and called it a day at 1:30. Managed to boat 17. Not to shabby.

Thanks for reading!

Dang! Nice work. I don't think there's anything more fun than when they crush topwater like that. I'm gonna have to try one of those Boyos. I like throwing spooks but haven't tried those yet.

Thank you sir! I'm really enjoying fishing with the Boyos. They cast real easy, and are so easy to walk.
