Note, I said April 2 because it wasn't April Fools Day.
Got to fish after a long absence with the King of the Glades, Big G, aka George.

Fished from 7:30ish to a little after 11 AM. Had to wait for dense fog to clear up.

Beautiful day, partly cloudy, very slight breeze. Ended up getting very hot and sunny. Fishing was horrible.

We threw everything but the kitchen sink, fished slow, fished fast, didn't make a difference. Near the surface or deep. They just weren't biting. Not bass, not mud fish, not exotics. Nada.

George caught two bass, not big, not small. I had one bass out of the water meaning when I set the hook he flew up in the air a couple of feet but wasn't hooked. Plus one exotic of some sort.  That was about it.  Saw a few other boats and no one seemed to be doing much better.

The highlight of the outing was a monster Gator, probably 10 feet or longer sunning himself on a rock near the shoreline.

We quit early due to lack of action. But thanks again George. It was an enjoyable time regardless of the lack of fish. We know there are fish there as we've both had 100 plus catches in the same place many times. There's always next time.

Glad you had a good time.  A little slow for a report, but it was what it is.  I have some pics I'll try to add.  We will do it again someday.

Hey, we tried. Not our fault the fish didn't want to cooperate. It's all good.
