I went after strictly bass today, so I headed out to this location that has treated me well over the last few weeks. Arrived at the ramp right before the sun came up. Made a long run, and out came the big bass rigs.
But unfortunately, there were no big big bass to be had.  :'( There were decent ones but no BIG ones.  :(

I tried an assortment of lures with success. Whopper plopper, poppers, swimbaits, stickbaits, walking baits, and finally, stickworms. The bigger bass of the day came off the swimbait.





Water temps are heating up, approaching the mid 80's.  ~sweat ~sweat  Peacock bass fishing should be ramping up real soon.  ;)

I wrapped up a little after 12:30. Boated 22. The biggest bass went a little over 3 lbs.

I'm looking forward to Wednesday!! Big surprise coming!! Stay tuned!!  ;) ~beer~

Nice job Lou, at least you got into some and moved the counter.  Unbelieveable slow in our territory.  That's why I wasn't going to put up a report at all.  Painfully Slow!!!!!!!  Good job buddy, your the man! ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

Thanks George. Despite what the counter said, the bite was off today. I had to do a lot of chucking and winding to get those bites.  :-* lo
