i am about over the mystery illness that took my energy.

and the rain..the damn rain. :)  but looks like the stars are going to align this weekend.  i got my buddy his first wild turkey harvest this last week, so we dont have to go this weekend again.  friday is a holiday for me.  should be NO RAIN. wife has to work and has dinner plans with her nursing buds...

HALL-PASS.  i am going to put my truck into 4x4 and drive up to a remote lake.  they have to be prespawn by now.  it is a mountain lake, so it will be colder still.   i bet i have the lake to myself.

nervous and excited.  hahahha...i got a MagDraft tied on..and i pink spinner bait.  for starters.

any NorCAL spawn updates?  where are your local bass with respect to LOVE.

In our local lakes Oroville, Collins, Camp Far West, Clear Lake among others the water temp is still just barely getting to 50 degrees.  I know that water temp is only one factor in when the spawn starts.  My recent experience is that the fish are solidly in pre-spawn mode.  The Delta is warmer, as the Motherlode lakes like New Melones, Camanche and Don Pedro should be.  Cold water from snow melt is a major factor.  Looking at my logs from preveious years, we are at least a couple weeks behind.
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!
