Day started of chilly(mid 30s) but warmed to upper 60s before we left. Water temps were 58 to start and 62 in spots end of day. Almost no wind to speak of thruout the day which I've been told is a rarity and may have messed up the bite some. The lake had really fluctuated depth wise (+10 or so feet) and all the tules that we fished weren't even in the water a week prior. It had came down some too per my boater who had prefished Friday.

Only 2 of 13 co-anglers weighed a fish and 11 of the 29 boaters zeroed. 1 co-angler had the only 5 fish limit weighing in at 18+lbs and the top boater had 4 fish for 14+lbs. Heard of punching/drop shot/jerkbait accounting for most of the fish. My boater had 3 fish total with 2 over 5 and 1 even came off of a bed later in the day. I think those fish are just a few days away from really flooding the banks ready to spawn. The water is nice and clear too so would be Fun to sight fish!

I think I like this lake a little better than Otay as it had a few more options with rocky banks and stuff. One more regular season tourney to come on El Capitan which we should catch perfectly for spawn/post spawn fish.
