So I've been mis-behavin' and fishing some this week. The LOZ thing was helping a guy practice for a tournament, so I didn't take my camera and such, then halfway thru the day he gets a call about some important project at work coming in, so no tourney. That means I can share the info.

And also, the fishin' was VERY close to what I did a couple of weeks ago where I DID do a video (shameless plug inserted HERE)-

Gravois arm of the LOZ, from Little Gravois to Indian Creek. Sky was partly sunny, wind light and variable South to Southwest. Lake level was just about two feet down, water was clear (5-6 feet) and the water temps were mostly 48-50 degrees.

We caught a total of 11 keepers and probably 20 shorts, almost all Largemouth. The bulk of the fish came on small crankbaits and a jerkbait in less than four feet of water on semi-flat banks just off of the transition banks. But very close to them. The steeper stuff was loaded with smaller bass, although the largest bass of the day came off of a channel swing 45 degree bank. It weighed just short of four pounds and came on a green/watermelon Hula Grub. Boat docks mostly yielded just dinks- most of the bass were on pretty bare stuff, with a couple of keepers coming off of wood.

Hard bait colors didn't seem to matter as long as they were shad or chrome. The fish were fairly aggressive with the bite mostly, with one double on the Rogue and another that came off. Overall a pretty entertaining day, especially after we found out we weren't practicing any more so we could start snatchin' them.

Oh yeah- the white bass are still doing well. If you can get in some wind on small secondary points anyway.

Hope this helps someone- look for the bass to move to the steeper stuff soon (like next week).
