Just checking in, it's been a while.
My shoulder replacement was done December 15, lne over night, all the personal were great the food, I'm not sure it was food. I was off the pain meds in a about a week and a half, the surgery was with reverse, the joint was turned around, makes it much easier on the rotator cuff, mine was a mess. I was driving in 4 weeks, helps with the boredom, I can get out for a bit. I was given the choice of occupational therapy, physical therapy, or doing it myself at home, I chose PT, a month and a half out and there still isn't much I can do, just small gentle movements, it feels much better but I still have a long road to hoe.
We got some bad news, my wife needs both hips replaced, she's going to try injections again to see if she can relief for a few months. Unfortunately I'm not able to take care of her if she has the surgery, she's going to try injections for now, hopefully they'll help until I can take care of her. I have taken over the shopping so she doesn't have to walk around that much. I go to Wegmans, get the cart set up then toddle on over to the service desk and ask for help with my shopping, wearing a sling for protection helps getting the help and keeps customers from bumping into you. The help pushes the cart and reaches what items you can't, they also unload the cart at checkout. At checkout they call for helping hands who will push the cart to your car and load it for you, a very nice and appreciated service at no cost. At home I make multiple trips between the car and kitchen using one arm, my wife starts putting stuff away, when the car is unloaded I start helping her.
My therapist says that doing better than expected but we're still following the time table, just very gentle movements, still a lot of healing going on and I don't want to screw anything up, I have no wish to get cut again.
Y'all be good, you too Dale! lo

Rodney glad to hear you're successful on the mend.  Keep up the rehab, and keep moving.  Remember to rest, but don't rust!  Hope your wife finds some relief also.  God bless you both.

Great to hear from you, I imagine typing all that was a real pain too. I remember after my shoulder SLAP surgery, even working a mouse was difficult much less typing. It was my right one and I'm right handed. Other things, not mentionable, were difficult as well.

I'm not sure if your store offers it but around here we can order online and then set up a time to be at the store and they will simply load it all into the vehicle. However you don't get to pick or own vege's but we've had good luck so far the few times we've used it.

Glad to have you back, Rodney. You're a tough old bird. The good news on shoulder work is your fastball is better. The bad news is your curveball suffers. Shouldn't matter as I've only seen you throw fastballs on UB.
The secret to hip replacement is finding the right doctor.
