When it comes to Peacock fishing, there are a number of lures out there that are pretty effective.

One of my favorite Peacock bass lures has to be the prop bait. Pea's flat out destroy these lures!

What's yours??

What's your favorite Peacock lure?  Mine is a Rapala Rip Stop, Silver, Goby, or Marilyn.
Those prop baits give me a heart attack when the keep missing it.

I remember watching fishing shows years ago where they were fishing for Peas in the Amazon. The bait of choice for the guides down there was always a giant prop bait like the old Woodchopper. They would jerk it hard and fast sometimes with a very brief pause.

Watching the topwater explosions even on TV was exciting. I can't imagine what the angler hooking them felt like!  :o

The pea in the picture above was caught when I worked the prop bait aggressively. I wanted to see how exaggerated I could work the prop bait and still get strike. Well,,, apparently I exaggerated just right because this pea smoked it!!  lo lo One can hear a very loud blow up on the audio.  :o :o
