During our 4 hour outing on Tuesday, I snapped this picture just to show how uncrowded it is when you are fishing retired style during the week.  We saw one other boat during this trip.

Beautiful picture Bud.  Having the water pretty much all to yourself is always a welcome treat.

Great picture. Water looks high; were fish up in the trees?

Eric they were on this day but it was high tide when this picture was taken.  On the left of this picture the depth at the trees was only about 2-4 ft however on the right side of the picture about where I was taking the picture from the water depth was about 20 ft with a few holes a bit deeper.  Right at the trees on the right side the depth was anywhere from 8-16 ft.  In other words they were not shallow at this time with blue bird skies and water temp at 64 during high tide.  The river does not rise and fall all that much except for the tides that typically run 3' at this particular section of the river.  If you go south on the river down by Georgetown you can find 8' tides as I am sure you probably experienced when you were here.  That would be anywhere south of where the pee dee meets the waccamaw.
