Simple fall season pleasures....

Laurie brought home some Carmel Apples for the boys yesterday. Both of them eyeballed it for a second and after some encouragement from her to dive right in - they did. Marshall, the younger of the two, says, "Papa, you have got to try one of these, this is the greatest invention ever!!!"

I think I broke his heart when I told him they had been around since my grandma was a kid 

While it has been a true struggle to raise these two with all their problems and my older age, they quite often remind me how enjoyable the simple things in life are if you just recognize them.

Back to the regularly schedule fall bass fishing frenzy....

I remember making our own when we were kids. We also made the red candy apples but the carmel ones were my favorite.
