That's funny. In all seriousness, for the accident prone, there are the Johnny Morris rods. I buy my son the Carbon Lites just because I know he WILL break a rod tip off. I just walk in with the old rod and the receipt, walk out with a new one. Not my favorite rods, but it's either that or the Ugly Sticks like you said

I have done that a few times at BPS.  Now they stamp the date made on the rod.  No more turning in a six year old rod.
