We wrapped up the year for the Lock Jaw Bass Club at Chicot State Park. To no surprise it was a tough tournament. Chicot has been fishing really stingy for the past couple of months and it didn't change it's tone for our tournament. The lake conditions were fair. Water was stained to clear and a little low. The Sylvania is getting bad especially on the south end. I fished up North where earlier in the year there was lots of grass but apparently they have done something, I guessing they are trying to control the Sylvania, because there is no grass where I fished. I had 6 bites and all of them came off a Texas rigged worm. I could not get a fish to hit anything moving. I ended up with three fish and took 1st place individual, 2nd place team, and had big bass for the tournament. Congratulations to Kevin and Joe for taking 1st place in the team division and to Austin and Joey for their 3rd place finish.

Congrats on the win  ~c~ ~c~

Salvania is bad JuJu I didn't realize you had it that bad down there. They will tell you the herbicide they are using to kill the Salvania won't kill other vegetation, but we have the same problem as you. Low and behold ever other green thing in the lake dies, except the Salvania....

Pretty sure that's what happen at Toledo Bend. I think the grass is coming back in some areas on the Texas side but man last time I fished there it was void of grass.
