Last week I was staying at the Hyatt Place on Broward Blvd in preparation for my guided Everglades trip with Capt. BassinLou. I had some time to kill so I checked out the canal in front of the hotel. I saw several peacocks in the clear water but none were interested in a jerkbait. I tried topwater and switched to a BOYO Spook and quickly lost a good one and caught about a 2 1/2 pounder and a small bass. Fun little canal. Plenty of shopping carts in the canal for fish attracting structure!

Sounds like Fun!!

Shopping carts make excellent fish attractions just don't get hung up!

There all over the place these days.  For a couple of years after the big chill it was tough except a few areas with deep water and active springs.  They have come back strong.  Glad you got some.

One of the cool things about visiting South FL is that Peacock bass are always near by.
