2021/2022 Xpress H18

I initially put this under the Xpress section but didn't get any response, so I'll give it a shot here.  Anybody have any reviews/opinions on the newer models H18's?  These are the ones with the wider beam, different deck layout, and the Seadeck.  Any pros and cons?  performance, storage compartments/size, fishability, ride in rough water, etc.  This is a sharp looking boat and I'm beginning to really like the Seadeck option.  Just wanted to know if there was anyone out there that has this boat and can give some advice?

Crosh, most likely you're not getting a response is because we don't have any folks that own one. Are considering buying one? I'd make a list of what you want/need and see if that maker is making your list and check them out.

I used to have an Express 17 footer that was very similar to the newer H series. I know that the H series has the hyper lift hull which is a little different than their X Series hull. It's supposed to be a great boat. I too like the Sea Deck.

I rode with Jason Christie on his X21 recently and it was an amazing boat. You couldn't tell that you were in an aluminum boat. The ride was great even in rough water. I was impressed.

I would have recently bought an Xpress if it would of fit in my garage. They are nice boats and I had zero complaints years ago when I had one.

thanks flat.  I really like the H18.  It seems the right size for my style of fishing and close to my budget although boats have really gotten expensive.

Have a 2021 X 18 which is the same hull just different lay out and higher HP rating. First off, sea dek is great. Easy to clean, dries in 20-30 minutes, good traction and easy on the body. Ride has been very good in any water condition I have been in. I have the Fortrex 80 which moves it well. Other than that I can't comment due to differences in layout and mine having a 150 but most that have them seem to like them with top speeds around 50 with the 115.

Thanks fishingram....the 50mph speed is plenty for me and my style of fishing.  I don't run far and don't have to run fast.  What speeds are you getting in the X18 with the 150hp?

Top speed so far has been just over 60 one day, normally 58 fully loaded but like you I don't run WOT much and fishing a river system, we don't have long straight stretches to let it run. I'm running the gray 150 and not the SHO by the way. Used the almost 2000 difference in price for between the two motors for other options when I ordered. I'm on my 3rd Xpress in the last 21 years and never had an issue with any of them.
