On base pond 2 Jul 22

Really windy today so didn't take the kayak. Started out throwing a squarebill and light weight texas rig. Changed lures a lot and caught 1 small bass on a shad colored crank by the reeds in the wind. Moved over to the non windy side and threw the Texas rig at a laydown(where I had caught a small bass before on the whopper plopper) AND is def the most obvious piece of cover on that bank. Threw down 1 side and nothing. Threw down it again and nothing. Threw down the other side and slowly crept it along and line goes limp. I set the hook and my braid somehow gets stuck in the end of a limb! I still feel the fish so let some line out and pull the fish back up and finally she flops off the snag! Turns out to be a 4lber!! That's 2 solid fish from the pond so far! Green pumpkin red flake zoom ol monster worm.
