Powell naked series

Just picked up the Powell Naked series 702 spinning rod. This is new series for Powell with a very minimalist build and a really responsive blank.
Going to retail around the $200 mark.
Really impressed with the build and cork.  Makes a great ned rig ,shakey head and tube rod.
I'm sure it wouldbe a good drop shot rod also, but I'd rather watch paint dry than do it.

Keep us posted after you get some time on the water. I love the concept, less in the amenities so that they can offer a better blank and cork, which IMO is the meat of the rod.

It's really good mike. It reminds me of the Champ 702 but just a touch quicker and judging By the seat of my pants, a little more power.
I had a guy down on Chicamauga make me a rod that was all black except for a cork handle and I loved the look.
I'm not sending this one back .
