Overcast.  Rainshowers in the area so at this lake that means there was a bit of wind.  SW at about 8-10mph.  some whitecapping on the main channel where it was funneled down a bit and ran against current.
we are currently in Fall/TVA drawdown with winter pool typically targeted for mid-november.  This has meant very consistent current flow (mostly in low 30,000 cfs range) and stable to falling water depending upon rain events.
80°F at 4PM when I put the boat in.  Water temps were 79°F wherever I checked; mostly mainlake stuff.  Clarity was stained.  As the weeds are dying back, a lot of the silt that's been trapped gets freed.  we have a clay soil, so at times it can suspend fairly well.  maybe a foot foot and half visibility in coves.  a little clearer mainlake.
junk fishing tonight.  baits that worked 'once' were t-rigged soft plastics, swimbait and the frog.

looks like the bit isn't that easy for too many folks at the moment.  the guys who guide aren't putting up too many pics these past few weeks.

Summer to Fall can be hard to stay on top of hungry bass. We just have to keep swinging and they'll appear in the back of a cover and stay there for a couple weeks... Sometimes it's like they magically appear...
