LET US NEVER FORGET!!!!  9/11

South Jersey Hook This wishes to pay respects and honor to all those who perished on that dreadful day some 20yrs ago.  From those on those flights, inside and outside the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, Shanksville, first responders, and to those still dealing with the effects, we salute and honor you!

A Delaware River fishing tournament wouldn't suffice unless we had to navigate through the tangled mess of drift wood and debris.  Like...What else is new...Right?

Moving on.... The Launch

Welcome to round #16 of the SJHT 2021 season where 10 members came out to battle down the Delaware River even with the floating drift wood from the previous weeks\days run off.
Where should I head was the thoughts of most after launching and seeing the mounds and mounds of drift wood in the river?
Slow and steady was the objective of most anglers as no one wanted to lose a lower unit with sunken\submerged debris.
Some headed towards the schukill while others navigated Northward.  Let's just say the bite was active and those who found them had a nice video to go along.  LOL!

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to overall 1st place winner and Lunker Winner,  Mike *The Boogey Man* Del Monico by weighing in 3 Bass going 6.27lbs Mikes's Lunker went a nice 3.09lbs. 2nd Place won by Rob *Contender for AOY* Masterson with 3 Bass going 5.59lbs3rd Place was won by Jackson Fu with 3 Bass going 3.58lbs. Summary: DELAWARE RIVER greeted us with ALOT of floating wood, debris, and calm winds.   Anglers reported getting several nibbles but nothing Gigantic! Waters further North appeard more clear in visability but can't really say that's where the fish were caught.  Others ventured up the Philly side and got mixed results.  I stuck close around as I let the floating wood get in my head a little bit and didn't run like I would have normally.  Oh Well!!!!  There is still tomorrow!

All of the Bass caught appeared very healthy but kinda short in stature.  Anglers reported losing some nice size bass but I never really had that feel.

In All, all 8 out of 10 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass.   There were 14  Bass caught overall.  The DELAWARE RIVER gave way to total of 23.82lbs caught overall.  The Delaware River avg. weight was 1.59lbs.

Overall.... 3 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.

Congrats to Mike Del Monico, Rob Masterson, and Jackson Fu on your performances.

Next up is MANASQUAN RES. in 1 Week.
Tightlines,
