Kate and I were back to Camp Far West or our Monday Fishing Date.  Arrived at 6 and found water temp had dropped 3 degrees to 75, it was 78 when we pulled out around 1.  Started on mainlake point, no topwater this time.  Change to hula grub on 3/8 football head and picked up 3.  Kate had one on a ned rig.  Moved to a major point with rock and deep water. I switched to drop shot as I am trying to gain skill and confidence.  Using a Robo Magarita Mutilator III started catching good fish.  Kate was catching them well on her ned rig also a couple on a small swimbait.  We stayed in the general area moving between points for about 3 hours.  After wearing them out,0 started moving to other locations we had not fished before and continued catching.  Kate ended up with 18 spotted bass and 1 catfish, best were just over 2#, quite a few over15-16" long.  I had 28 bass, mostly spots & 1 largemouth.  Biggest was 2.42#  Also caught a catfish on a dropshot.  Some smoke overcast, but mostly clear.  Light NW wind shifting to SW.  Baitfish were more scattered and deeper than the week before, mostly pond smelt.  A pretty good day.  No pictures this time.
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!

Thanks for the great report. Seems like you catch the kitty Kats every time you hit this lake. I always loved the spotted bass populations on CFW, but they weren't quite as big as they are now...

Curious, do you every fish Englebright for the small mouth?
